About this opportunity
Fondazione CinemaO invites emerging curators to develop screening-based programmes at its Milan venue. Selected curators present a series of at least three works with thoughtful conceptual connections, supported by a workshop on audience design and distribution and three months of daytime workspace access. The selection committee for the 2026 edition includes Chiara Agradi (Fondation Cartier), Maike Mia Höhne (Kurzfilmfestival Hamburg), and Insolente (Tea Paci & Valentina Manzoni).
Application tips
Proposals should pair conceptual rigour with a clear audience strategy. Three works minimum, with a clear thread between them. The form asks how you would build an audience for the programme — concrete plans matter.

Film Independent's Project Involve is a flagship nine-month fellowship nurturing diverse filmmaking talent in Los Angeles. The programme has supported over 800 filmmakers over three decades, with alumni including Jon M. Chu, Lulu Wang, and Andrew Ahn.
SFFILM

SFFILM's FilmHouse Residency is the only year-round filmmaker residency in the United States. Around 20 filmmakers receive 12-month residencies with office space, editing suites, professional advisors, guest speakers, and networking events. The programme supports narrative and documentary feature projects at various stages of development. Supported by the Kenneth Rainin Foundation and SF Film Commission.
