Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts Residency
About this opportunity
The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Nebraska, offers one of the most generous artist residency programmes in the United States. Residents receive a private live-work studio of up to 2,500 square feet, a monthly stipend, and access to outstanding fabrication workshops. The programme provides ample time and space for ambitious new work within a supportive community of fellow residents.
Application tips
Note that the Bemis Center will pause residencies in 2027 and 2028 for capital improvements, making the 2026 sessions among the last before the hiatus. The application deadline was August 2025 for 2026 sessions. Check the website for updates on the post-renovation programme reopening, expected in 2029.
